For my A Level Media a group of us have scripted designed and made a Dido vidio of our own on the song Thankyou. Its worked out really well even though our budget was 0. Ud all love it. It even has a duck in it. We filmed it and did everything our self. But i bet Dido dose not have to do a thesis on why shes done it and why she used different camera angles and what that means.

I really enjoyed Dido's Album, its from the heart and somet i can relate to. I bought her album when it came out in the UK. A couple of months later it was re-released again with enhanced video's. Also just before christmas there was another CD again, but it included an extra Cd. All i'd like to say is that i think this is wrong, causes they just wanna make more cash out of us. Next time i think i'll wait a year before i buy her second, she might release it 4 times!

Hi.
Great site. I'm a huuuuge fan of Esthero and Res, respectively. Luckily I heard of Res and got her CD before most people knew of her and it's awesome, and I play it too death even now. Res is definitely an innovative breath of fresh air. She stands out amidst the lame, over-produced, grand-standing, posteuring B.S that assault the ears, and eyes of "INNOVATIVE MUSIC" lovers, like myself. It's hard to differentiate from the crap they play over and over again, hence, I haven't bothered w/ the radio for a year. Thank goodness for my trusty old portable CD player I've had since high school.
I also bought ana exported version of Esthero's "Breath from Another" and absolutely love it. For some reason, it's been difficult for me to find Esthero's stuff around these parts. And it's not w/out a lack of fervid digging.
Luckily I ran into a copy in a used record/CD shop in NYC this past summer. And I play that CD too death as well.
Would like to see Bic Runga as a siren.

First off, about four years ago I was going through a rough time back home (Detroit), I bought some CD's one day and I decided to try Estheros' music. I was amazed at her ability to put her words together as she does, every inch of me was abducted into an amazing world that is she. I payed close attention to every word in every song and soon to my astonishment my problems where bled from me. I have her to thank for that...I never thought I would be the type of person to fall so deeply dependant on a musician and be healed by such a distant force. Anyways, I heard that her band would play a free concert at the State Theatre in Detroit and I new I would have to go so I could match a face to her voice. i could not convince any friend to accompany me so I went alone...their loss. When I got in I began talking to people that I knew from around town and asked how they liked Esthero, No one knew who they where there to see...they just heard FREE and showed up. After hearing this from about three people I decided to even talk to those who where strangers to me and they too hadn't a clue to the band they were there to see or any songs when I sang them. This was amazing to me, to make a long story short I was your only true love there my dear, I got right up front and afixed my eyes, let my ears take in every sound that woman could push out of her pretty little body. You moved me then and you always will. To her I offer thanks. I have one problem though...I know good music, This group get's no recognition...I hardly hear her music on the radio and when I do it is the same old songs. People need to hear more of her poetry, no musician that I know right now is as crative and as talented as this group. I mean this from the heart, Im basicly a hard listener, however when i hear this woman something happens to me that has never been experienced by the ugly me. Dude...How did you meet her? and if you ever see her again please tell her that someone in this world really respects how she lives and shares. I would die just to have her look in my eyes if only for on beat of a rabbits heart. Her real name is?

Hello! Just happened to stumble upon this page... very good site, btw. :)
I have liked Esthero since her "That Girl" stages (which was, indeed, a very long time ago!) and then awhile ago, "Heaven Sent" came out. I loved it, but they never played it on MuchMusic (the Canadian equivalent of MTV) or the radio or anything, so I completely forgot about it. Now they've started playing it again, and that's wicked-cool.
I came on here to post that Esthero is a very fresh, raw, and REAL talent that I would love to see in concert somewhere in The 'Peg, Manitoba. That would be great. :)
Esthero, if you ever get to read this, thanks. Thanks for coming out with music that people can relate to; music that expreses thoughts that society may find unacceptable or innapropriate, not because of profanity or vulgarity or anything, but because of the emotion and such...

I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of Jo Davidson. I was just thinking yesterday how much her music reminds me of Dido, but I don’t know where I heard her music. I think Dido is a great singer! Ever since I heard her first song "Here With Me" I fell in love with her singing. I have been a Dido fan for awhile now but seeing her in concert gave me a whole new perspective on her music. I am anticipating the next album and cannot wait. I would like to know when it will be if anyone knows. If not can anyone tell me where I can find the release "Do You Have A Little Time"? I was swept away by it and think its one of her best songs yet. I'm bummed it isn's on her cd and would like to get it if possible. Please send me an email if anyone has the answer. Dido is great! Her music is not only soothing, but it's also very enjoyable to listen to. She sounds like a mix of Sarah McLaughlin and Sade. She has a different writing style also, which sounds like real life experiences. She's definately gonna be popular not only because she's so cool, but she has her own UNIQUE style. Too bad she isn't coming here to Florida on tour! =-(

On Friday the 4. of May I went to a concert with Dido in Copenhagen. An fantastic experience, but even more fantastic it was when I the day after went out to try to find the same pair of trousers that she was wearing at the concert.
