i heard 'here w/ me' on WBER awhile ago, and then didnt hear it for a long time, but i loved it. and then they started playin it on other stations and i was SO excited- and then when i heard 'stan', i didnt really like the song at all except for the refrain...so i found out it was dido and i was hooked. found it on napster, then got the rest of the CD. im just blown away every time i hear her.

I just resently heard the song "Here with me" while watching Roswell and I had to know who this girl was so while listining to the radio I heard the song and they said that it was Dido so I had to get the album because I love her voice!!!!!! It is so different and cool!!!!!!!!!! Plus I LOVE the song, its all about love!!!!!!!

Allow me to rant... I am a listener of true alternative music, and therefore have been a fan of Dido's for well over a year now, when her single "Here With Me" (which is still my favorite) was released and played on my local station at home (which broadcasts on RealAudio, WBER 90.5fm out of Rochester) as early as last October. With the rare exception, I am not a fan of mainstream music, and am offended by the vulgarity and morbidness in a lot of music today, especially that of Eminem. With my brother blasting such music every time I visit home, Dido was a breath of fresh air. And never in my life have I been as disappointed (except maybe the recent break-up of Ben Folds Five) as I was to hear that Dido had sold out (see Reel Big Fish) and joined the Eminem band-wagon. I will always love her music, but I no longer know what to think about her or the message she wants to project. She is no longer the sacred treasure of we devout alternative listeners, she has been wisked into the infamy and lime-light, by way of a disillusioned man who complains that people won't leave him alone when he brings it upon himself. I fear I am being incoherent, but I feel like no one is with me on this (maybe because most of my friends are main-stream types and don't understand how betrayed I feel by this). Dido stood for a thousand romantic ideas and notions, and this has all been corrupted by the sound of her voice alongside of his. On a side note, This is a wonderfully thorough site and I completely enjoyed it. That is all.

For the past 6 months I have been desperately searching for a copy of "Every Little Thing He Does is Magic", a song by The Police that Dido has covered in her live shows. I know that it's floating around on a couple different bootlegs, but I don't have any boots myself to trade to get them, and I am just looking for that song in particular. If anyone has the Afraid to Sleep boot or the Paradise Rock Club boot (i think those are the two that have them) and would be willing to rip the track and send it to me in mp3 (or wav, aif, etc.) form, I would be very greatful. November 2nd i went to Philly to check out Dido at the Electric Factory. WoW! If anyone has the oppartunity to see her and the band live PLEASE DO...She hit every note perfectly and the band worked perfectly together. Dido is one cute kitten and a pleasure to listen to and to look at on stage. I could not stop dancing the entire show. checked out the BT & Hooverphonic shows in Atlanta & D.C. and I must say that both shows were excellent. If you get a chance to catch the jensenergy tour I would not pass it up. Hooverphonic is very tight and there whole aura just mezmerizes the crowd. BT kicks ass as well. peace

Great site... I had seen them play at the Count Baisey Theater in Red Bank NJ. back in '92 and it was the greatest show I had EVER seen. With this coming from a huge Ramones and Grateful Dead fan...it meant the world to me...(yeah I know what a contrast of musical taste) Anyway the ushers had thrown someone out for smoking a cigarette and Wheeler gave them hell for tossing this guy out. In her fit of anger she asked the crowd to get out of their seats and flood the stage... Very good web page Brian...your pics and info far exceed the quality which I found on Arista and/or Nettwerk. Dido's album is infectious, and even the more obscure songs have a tendency to grow on you after many re-listens...I have yet to be able to remove the disc from my car CD player. Unfortunately, I have not been able to catch up with any of Dido's television appearances...any ideas as to future appearances Brian? This is my first time visiting the site. I am impressed. I am a fan of Esthero. Her cd is amazing. Peeps are really sleeping on here. She is destined to blow up. I heard Big Boi on the beat in LA mention how tight she was. And I was like what! When I was at Howard in 99', I try spread the word on her. Hopefully, she will release a new album soon. Check out Mandalay - Empathy is the title of the CD I have. It is on the Maverick label (Madonna's label). They also have one song on "The Next Best Thing" songtrack. The female vocalist Nicola Hitchcock definitely is a Siren of Song that deserve mention on your website. BTW, Thanks for this great website!

I just wanted to say that I honestly never would have heard of Dido if it wasn't for that song Stan with Eminem, but now that I am aware of the original version and other songs by Dido, I am very pleased I found them. Your site is very well organized and there is a lot of information here about Dido for people like me who never had the opportunity to become exposed to this wonderful unique artist.
