Discuss Sia at the Discussion Board on the new Sirens of Song Facebook Page.

On February 14, 2008, Sia brought a bit of extra sunshine to an already beautiful day in Santa Monica, CA as she played a free outdoor set at Starbucks.  Shots from this rare outdoor appearance are on the Photo Page.  Her Spring 2008 tour officially kicked off on February 15th in San Diego, CA.

Sia played a short set at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, January 24th.  Jump to the Photo Page to see photos from her appearance.  While in town, she appeared the next day on Jimmy Kimmel Live and performed both "Buttons" and "Breathe Me" (full-sized version at the Vidcap Page).  Visit Jimmy Kimmel Live to see footage of her performance.

Coachella has announced its 2008 line-up and Sia will be peforming on Sunday, April 27th. Click here for more news on Coachella 2008.

Sia's new CD, Some People Have Real Problems, hit stores on January 8th in the U.S. and to help promote the album, Sia made an appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.  To download a full-sized version of the vidcap, visit the Vidcap Page.

Sia's newest release, Some People Have Real Problems, is a 13 track release, plus a hidden track "Buttons."  Once again, Sia teams up with Beck on a couple of tracks, Academia and Death By Chocolate (actor Giovanni Ribisi also does backing vocals on Death By Chocolate).  And added bonus to the CD package is postcard artwork designed by the siamusc.net competition winners.

Currently available on the Photo Page are concert photos from Sia's October 2007 appearance at the El Rey in Los Angeles, CA, as well as shots from Zero 7's 6/4/04 Hollywood show and their 4/17/02 Washington DC appearance, where she was a guest vocalist at the time.

I first learned of Sia Furler in December 2001 when she and Sophie Barker performed "Destiny" with Zero 7 on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, and she left an unforgettable impression.  Don't judge a book by its cover, as you wouldn't expect such lush and soulful voices to slide off her lips.  With an MTV Breakthrough video that supported "Destiny," we should be hearing big things from Sia in the near future.

Zero 7's third full-length release, The Garden, is now available in the States. Sia is brought back to do guest vocals on six tracks.  The album marks a slight departure from the band's previous work, as it moves away from its downtempo theme, but don't throw in the towel after the first listen though.  Many of the songs take a few listens.  Standout tracks such as "Throw It All Away" and "This Fine Social Scene" help make for a great summer album.

Aussie Sia Furler's debut album Healing Is Difficult was released in 2002 in her homeland.  Her second album, Colour the Small One, was released in early 2004 and is absolutely brilliant.  Although different from her dance-themed debut, if you like her work with Zero 7, you'll love Colour the Small One.

Both Sia and Sophie return as guest vocalists on Zero 7's sophomore album, When It Falls.  New to the project is Danish vocalist Tina Dico, who's EP, Far, was released in May 2004.  Sound clips are below, and if you'd like to hear songs in their entirety, you can also listen to the songs on my online radio station at Live365.com.
